Accidents

Wasco County
     Mar. 11, 2:05 p.m. – Single vehicle non injury accident occurred in the 4000 block of Pleasant Ridge Road. Involved driver was Jacob K. Cardon, 17, 1000 East 11th Street. His vehicle went off the road and damaged some fencing. He was cited for careless driving and the vehicle was towed.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

     Mar. 11, 6:56 a.m. – Fire apparatus responded to the 2400 block of East 11th Street on a report of a natural gas leak inside a residence. Upon arrival the owner advised that he had shut off the gas and there was a strong odor inside. Crew had to wait before entering the house. Windows and doors were opened to air out the house. The natural gas company assisted in fixing the problem.
     Mar. 11, 5:27 p.m. – Fire apparatus were called out to a burn complaint in the 800 block of East 13th Street. Upon arrival law enforcement was on scene counseling the owner. Owner was burning illegal materials and was cited. The fire was extinguished.
     Mar. 12, 8:34 p.m. – Fire apparatus responded to a parking lot of the 1200 block of West 6th Street on a vehicle fire. It was determined this was an electrical problem and the battery was disconnected and the vehicle was towed.
     Mar. 13, 12:26 p.m. – Fire apparatus responded to the 2000 block of East 9th Street on a unauthorized burn. Contact was made with the home owner who was burning illegal materials and had a permit; the fire was extinguished.
     The department also responded to four calls for emergency medical services on Friday, Four on Saturday, and four on Sunday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City
     Courtney Lane Jones, 25, 515 West 19th Street, was arrested Friday morning and is accused of first-degree theft and negotiating a bad check.
     A harassment was taken Friday morning from the 200 block of East 10th Street after a juvenile female was cited for pushing another juvenile female.
     City police responded to the 1600 block of East 19th Street Friday afternoon on a report of an unconscious male subject who may have been assaulted. A report was taken and is under investigation.
     A telephonic harassment report was taken from the 2000 block of West Scenic Drive.
     A first-degree theft report was taken from the 2900 block of East 2nd Street Saturday morning after a bin of copper wire was reported stolen.
     A runaway report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 300 block of West 6th Street.
     A theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 200 block of Webber Road.
     A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 1100 block of Lewis Street.
     City police responded to the 700 block of West 14th Street on a report of two juvenile male subjects being assaulted by another female juvenile. The female juvenile was cited for two counts of fourth-degree assault and released to her father.
     John Scott Frizzell, 47, 800 East 13th Street was arrested Saturday evening in the 800 block of West 10th Street and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct.
     An unauthorized use of a motor vehicle report was taken Saturday evening from the 1600 block of East 9th Street after a victim advised her vehicle was stolen while parked in the parking lot during the two hours it was parked there.
     Kari Lynn Lyons, 26, Hood River, was arrested Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Kelly Avenue and East 10th Street on a circuit court warrant for probation violation on a harassment charge.
     A report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 300 block of East 13th Street for harassment.
     Robert Andrew Rowan, 26, 1228 East 8th Street was arrested Sunday evening in the 2400 block of West 10th Street on a circuit court warrant for parole violation.
     City police responded tot eh 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Sunday evening and cited a male juvenile for third-degree theft; he was released to his parents. He was also trespassed from the business for two years.
     A second-degree criminal mischief report was taken Sunday evening from the 400 block of East 14th Street after the victim advised his car windshield was broken.
     The runaway that was reported Saturday afternoon from the 300 block of West 6th Street was reported to have returned home and he was removed from the system.

Wasco County
     A second-degree burglary report was taken Friday morning from the 6100 block of Wrentham Market Road in Wamic.
     Shayne Christopher Brookshier, 23, 5393 Hawley Road was arrested Friday evening in his home and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and hit and run.
     Tyler William Weers, 28, 4525 Highway 30 West #7, was arrested Saturday morning in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street on a municipal court warrant for failure to pay fines.
A runaway report was taken from the 1400 block of Kinglsey Street on Saturday evening.
     An assault report was taken Sunday evening from the 1000 block of Hiland Court after a male victim advised his girlfriend’s son struck him in the eye.
     Jacob Michael Kuhnhausen, 20, 7585 Basalt Street was arrested Sunday evening in the 3600 block of West 6th street and is accused of fourth-degree assault.

Oregon State Police
     State trooper initiated a traffic stop Friday evening at the intersection of West 6th Street and Webber Road and cited a female driver for having no operator’s license, the vehicle was towed.
     Tod Alyn Overmyer, 42, Yakima, Washington was arrested during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon on Interstate 84, eastbound milepost 93 and is accused of parole violation. He was also cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and driving while suspended, and driving uninsured. His vehicle was towed.
     State trooper initiated a traffic stop Saturday evening on Interstate 84, eastbound milepost 95 and cited the male driver for driving while suspended and driving uninsured; his vehicle was towed.
     Benjamin Franklin Kivett, 22, Wasco, was arrested during a traffic stop Saturday evening on Interstate 84, eastbound milepost 103 and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana.
     State trooper initiated a traffic stop Sunday afternoon on Interstate 84, eastbound milepost 78 and cited the female driver for speeding, driving while suspended and failure to carry proof of insurance; her vehicle was towed.
     State trooper initiated a traffic stop Sunday afternoon on Interstate 84, eastbound milepost 86 and cited a male driver for driving while suspended; his vehicle was towed.
     Cris Jon Schulenburg, 54, 1015 Wright Street was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop on Chenowith Loop Road and West 8th Place and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.
     A criminal mischief report was taken Sunday evening after a victim reported his vehicle parked on Interstate 84, eastbound milepost 92 was vandalized.
State trooper initiated a traffic stop early Monday morning on West 6th and Division Streets and cited the female driver for driving while suspended; her vehicle was towed.
