Gloria June Dunn
Gloria June Dunn, 87, a resident of Enumclaw, Wash., and a past longtime resident of The Dalles, died at a care facility in Enumclaw, on Saturday, March 5.
She was born in Brainer, MN on Sept. 12, 1923 as the oldest of three children to Harold and Hazel (Griffith) Bowman. She grew up Brainer, MN moving with her family to Wash., and graduating from High School in Battle Ground, Wash., in 1943.
Gloria married Hugh David Dunn in Seaside on Dec. 8, 1945. She lived in The Dalles form 1957 to 2004 before moving to Enumclaw because of health problems. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, sewing, cooking and going to the beach.
She is survived by her son, James Dunn and his wife Colleen of Enumclaw; her daughter, Nola M. Dunn of Kelso, Wash.; five grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and her sister, Nola Dickson of Gulfport, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Hugh D. Dunn; her parents and her brother, James Rhodes.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 17 at 11 a.m. at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
